Magazine Sixty Music Review with Yard One x Tryst ft. Vovian & Red Pig Flower

Greg Fenton reviews Yard One x Tryst ft. Vovian & Red Pig Flower – San-lim Yok EP – Stolar

Sounding like every second counts as if every movement is important in the sequence of events Output, Until The Sun Rises… by Yard One & Vovian is a thrilling composition. Eclipsing wide open fields of stereo and the rapture of sonic nuances it’s as much about rhythm as the reward in atmospheric exploration. The EP then proceeds to delve into their Tryst alias alongside Korean vocals from Vovian whose delicate breath of voice adds sublime depth to the gorgeous ambience surrounding Forest Bathing In Busan (San-lim Yok).

Sky Capsule sees a collaboration with Red Pig Flower take flight next propelled by the inclusion of more vigorous grooves amid mysterious echoes of blissful encounters. That regenerating light shines again on the surge of free-flowing electronics denoting Haeundae Beach (The End Of The Line) also highlighted by featuring Vovian’s cool vocal release. Yard One then fly solo on the broken beats of the equally captivating Gwangan Night Drive completing this exhilarating breadth of exposure to forward-thinking sound.

Finally, two great remixes appear, one from Alex Albrecht’s stunning Trail Maintenance version of Forest Bathing and the second as Eli Verveine reimagines Haundae Beach (The End Of The Line) with the inclusion of brisk drums on this wonderfully deep yet tough rendition.
