King Britt’s intriguing, brilliant alter ego Fhloston Paradigm sets pulses racing with the electronically super-charged, rule book discarding, flying free imagination and sonic possibilities generated by his initial recent release. Now faced with three new versions all hell may just break loose. For me John Debo’s version expands it all forward finding elements suggested by the original and developing them over the course of several minutes of drum infused temptation. Contrasting the intensity is OddKidOut whose shimmering, funkier flavours breathe a definite sense of relief and joy into it all. While conversely, Pow Wow turns it all upside down amid a rush of breakbeats. Outstanding.
