Dudas bites hard. Feels like a mystery unfolding. Sounds like music should in the upcoming story of 2024. Deep yet pulsing with soulful inquiry, meaningful in a very real sense. I miss the art of song writing but the weird charm generated by the wash of voices here will suffice. Musically, Dudas points in all directions as keys whir and smoulder, drums are tough and insistent. Dad of the Year delivers a compelling version that reworks the elements, retaining that sense of ambiguity while opening out spaces for fresh tones to explore. It’s also rather wonderful. Then, Demenage Over Demenage gets deeper, dubbier and if it were possible moodier. With the energy of Juan Zolbaran’s remix contracting nicely. A self-explanatory Super Dub Mix ends on a natural high rounding off this notable release via a smoky succession of creative impulses.
